Er Canned Potatoes with Herbs and Pepper
✅ Ingredients
For the potatoes:
1 kg of mashed potatoes (or small potatoes)
Cooking water
1 tablespoon (soup) of salt
For the seasoning of the canned:
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup white vinegar (or apple)
1/2 cup of water
4 chopped garlic cloves.
1 small chopped onion
1 small chopped red bell pepper (or red bell pepper)
1 small batch of minced sauce
1 small bunch chopped chives or cilantro (optional)
1 teaspoon (tea) of oregano
1 teaspoon (tea) of black pepper
1 teaspoon (tea) of salt (or to taste)
👩 🍳 Preparation Mode
- Prepare the potatoes
Wash the polka dots well.
Cook with water and 1 tablespoon (soup) of salt until soft, but firm (don’t let it stain).
Slide and let it cool to the max.
👉 If you want, you can remove the shell with your hands, it loosens easily after cooking.
- Prepare the Canning Spice
In a mixing bowl:
the olive oil,
the vinegar,
the water ,
the garlic ,
the onion,
the pepper or pepper,
the sauce,
chive or cilantro,
or oregano,
the pepper of the kingdom
e o sal.
Mix everything and taste to adjust the salt/acid to your liking.
- Assemble the canning
Place the already cold potatoes in a large sterilized glass pot.
Pour the seasoning on top until it’s covered.
Cover the pot well and shake slightly to spread.
- Rest and serve
Refrigerate for at least 12 hours to get the flavour (24 hours gets even better).
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
🍽 Extra Tips
✔ Lasts up to 10 days in the fridge if well closed.
✔ You can use other spices such as thyme, bay or Calabrese pepper.
✔ Combines with barbecue, cold, meats and snacks.
