Slow Cooker Tender Beef Cubes

  • 700 g – 1 kg beef cubes (stew meat)
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce (optional, for flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian herbs
  • 3 potatoes (optional, chopped)
  • 2 carrots (optional, sliced)

  1. Brown the beef (optional but best)
    • Heat oil in a pan.
    • Sear beef cubes 2–3 minutes until browned.
  2. Add to slow cooker
    • Put beef, onion, garlic, potatoes, and carrots inside.
  3. Season
    • Add salt, pepper, paprika, herbs, soy sauce, and broth.
  4. Cook
    • Low: 7–8 hours
    • High: 4–5 hours
      Cook until meat is very tender.
  5. Serve
    • Serve with rice, bread, or mashed potatoes.
