Classic BLT Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

6 slices thick-cut bacon

2 slices white or sourdough bread, toasted

2–3 slices fresh tomato

A few leaves of crisp lettuce (romaine or iceberg)

1–2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Salt and black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon strips and cook until crispy and golden. Transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.

  1. Toast the Bread

Toast both slices of bread until they’re golden brown with a light crunch—this helps hold the sandwich together.

  1. Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each toasted slice.

Layer in this order:

  1. Lettuce
  2. Tomato slices
  3. Crispy bacon

For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper on the tomatoes.

  1. Close and Serve

Place the second slice of bread on top, mayo-side down. Cut the sandwich in half if desired. Serve immediately while the bacon is still warm and the bread is perfectly toasted
