- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar or chocolate for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add egg, melted butter, flour, and salt. Mix well and knead into a soft dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface (about ½ inch thick).
- Use a small round cutter to cut mini donuts.
- Cover and let them rest for 15–20 minutes.
- Heat oil on medium flame and fry donuts until golden brown.
- Remove and place on paper towels.
- Coat with powdered sugar or dip in melted chocolate.
Tips
- Make sure milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
- Fry on medium heat so donuts cook inside without burning.
- Add vanilla essence for extra flavor.
- You can fill them with jam or cream using a piping bag.
- Best served fresh and warm!
