Cherry Swirl Cheesecake Dessert
Creamy, rich cheesecake with beautiful ribbons of sweet cherry swirls — perfect for holidays or special occasions.
Ingredients (9-inch cheesecake | Serves 10–12)
Crust
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Cheesecake Filling
24 oz (3 blocks) cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
Cherry Swirl
1 cup cherry pie filling (or homemade cherry compote)
Instructions
Prepare the Crust
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
Mix graham crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly combined.
Press firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
Bake 8–10 minutes, then let cool slightly.
Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a large bowl:
Beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy (no lumps).
Add sugar and mix well.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently after each.
Mix in vanilla, sour cream, and flour until just combined.
Do not overmix (prevents cracks).
Assemble & Swirl
Pour filling over crust.
Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling on top.
Use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl into the batter.
Bake
Bake 50–60 minutes until center is slightly jiggly but edges are set.
Turn oven off, crack door open, and let cheesecake cool inside 1 hour.
Chill
Refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before slicing.
