3-Ingredient Baked Beef & Gravy Comfort Casserole
Pour it, bake it, forget it — tender beef in rich gravy that’s perfect over mashed potatoes or rice.
Ingredients
2 lbs beef stew meat (raw)
1 can (10.5 oz) beef consommé
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
(That’s it!)
Instructions
Preheat
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
Assemble
Place raw stew meat in a 9×13-inch glass casserole dish.
Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over the meat.
Spoon cream of mushroom soup on top.
Pour beef consommé over everything.
Do not stir — layering helps create rich gravy as it bakes.
Bake Low & Slow
Cover tightly with foil.
Bake 2½ to 3 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
Serve
Gently stir before serving to combine into a thick gravy.
