Savory Potato Crust Chicken & Ham Cake

 Ingredients
For the potato crust:
800 g potatoes (about 4–5 medium)
1 egg
2 tbsp butter (melted)
2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
2 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or parsley)
Salt & black pepper to taste
For the filling:
200 g cooked chicken breast (shredded)
200 g ham slices
3–4 tbsp mayonnaise or sour cream
100 g mozzarella cheese (shredded)
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste

 Instructions

1️⃣

 Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and boil potatoes until fork tender.
Drain well and mash until smooth.
Let cool slightly.
Mix in:
Egg
Melted butter
Flour/cornstarch
Dill
Salt & pepper
Stir until smooth and thick.

2️⃣

 Form the Crust
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease a 20 cm (8-inch) springform pan.
Press mashed potatoes evenly on the bottom and up the sides to form a thick crust.
Bake for 20 minutes until lightly set.

3️⃣

 Prepare the Filling
In a bowl mix:
Shredded chicken
Paprika
A little salt & pepper
Spread chicken evenly over the baked potato crust.
Layer ham slices on top.
Spread mayonnaise or sour cream over the chicken (like in the picture).
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over everything.

4️⃣

 Final Bake
Return to oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden on top.

5️⃣

 Rest & Serve
Let cool for 10–15 minutes before removing from pan. Slice like a cake and serve warm.
