Ingredients:
For the Ham:
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 2–3 kg)
1/2 cup water (for the baking pan)
For the Glaze:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons orange juice (or pineapple juice)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ham
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Place the ham in a large baking dish or roasting pan.
Add 1/2 cup water to the bottom of the pan.
Cover the ham loosely with foil. - Bake the Ham
Bake for about 15–20 minutes per kg until heated through.
While it bakes, prepare the glaze. - Make the Glaze
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine:
brown sugar
honey
Dijon mustard
orange juice
cinnamon
cloves
butter
Stir continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and slightly thick (about 5–7 minutes). - Glaze the Ham
Remove the ham from the oven and uncover it.
Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern using a knife.
Brush a generous amount of glaze over the ham. - Final Baking
Return the ham to the oven uncovered.
Bake for another 20–30 minutes, brushing more glaze every 10 minutes.
The glaze should become sticky, shiny, and caramelized. - Serve
Remove from the oven and let the ham rest for 10–15 minutes.
Slice and serve warm with extra glaze from the pan.
Tips:
You can add pineapple slices on top for extra flavor
Use cloves in the scored cuts for a traditional look
