  • 4–4½ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1. Activate the Yeast

  • In a large bowl, mix warm water, warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
  • Stir gently and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • Add melted butter and salt to the yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.

3. Knead the Dough

  • Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface.
  • Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. First Rise
