Perfect Bacon in the Oven
Crispy, evenly cooked, no splatter — this is the easiest way to make bacon!
Ingredients
1 package thick-cut or regular bacon
Parchment paper or aluminum foil
(That’s it!)
Instructions
Preheat
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Pan
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil (for easy cleanup).
Place parchment paper on top if you want less sticking.
Optional: Set a wire rack on the pan for extra crispy bacon.
Arrange Bacon
Lay bacon strips in a single layer.
Do not overlap.
Bake
Bake 15–20 minutes (regular bacon).
18–25 minutes for thick-cut.
Check at 15 minutes — ovens vary!
For extra crispy bacon, leave it a few minutes longer.
Drain
Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate.
Let cool slightly — it crisps more as it cools.
Flavor Variations
Maple Bacon: Brush with maple syrup before baking.
Peppered Bacon: Sprinkle with cracked black pepper.
Brown Sugar Bacon: Lightly sprinkle brown sugar for candied bacon.
