BBQ Brisket Hand Pies

BBQ Brisket Hand Pies (Savory & Crowd-Pleaser!)
Flaky golden crust stuffed with smoky brisket, melty cheddar, and tangy BBQ sauce — perfect for game day, lunchboxes, or easy dinners.

 Ingredients
1½ cups cooked brisket (shredded or chopped)
1 refrigerated pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
2 tbsp finely diced red onion (optional)
1 tbsp chopped pickles or jalapeños (optional)
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tbsp water

 Instructions

1️⃣

 Prep the Filling
In a bowl, mix:
Shredded brisket
BBQ sauce
Red onion (if using)
Pickles or jalapeños (optional)
Stir until evenly coated.

2️⃣

 Prepare the Dough
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out pie crust on a lightly floured surface.
Cut into 4–6 circles (about 4–5 inches wide). You can use a bowl as a guide.

3️⃣

 Fill & Seal
Place 2–3 tablespoons of brisket mixture in the center of each circle.
Top with a generous sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
Fold dough over to form a half-moon shape.
Press edges with a fork to seal tightly.

4️⃣

 Egg Wash
Whisk egg with 1 tbsp water.
Brush over tops of hand pies for a golden finish.
Cut a small slit on top of each to allow steam to escape.

5️⃣

 Bake
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.

6️⃣

 Serve
Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
