Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake

• 2½ cups all-purpose flour

• 2 cups granulated sugar

• 1 cup cocoa powder

• 1 tablespoon baking powder

• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• ½ teaspoon salt

• 3 large eggs

• 1 cup vegetable oil

• 1 cup milk

• 1 cup hot coffee or hot water

• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Frosting

• 1 cup butter

• ½ cup cocoa powder

• 4 cups icing sugar

• ½ cup milk

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• Chocolate sprinkles for topping

Instructions

Preheat oven to 170°C and grease a rectangular sheet cake pan.

In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Pour in hot coffee or hot water and mix gently until the batter becomes thin and glossy.

Transfer batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow cake to cool completely.

For the frosting, melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in cocoa powder. Add icing sugar gradually, then pour in milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and spreadable.

Spread frosting over the cooled cake and top with chocolate sprinkles.
