Nea Bristol’s Broccoli and Mushroom Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 300g broccoli florets
  • 300g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables
Wash the broccoli and cut into florets. Slice the mushrooms and mince the garlic if using.
  2. Heat the Oil
Warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté the Garlic (Optional)
If using garlic, add it to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, taking care not to let it burn.
  4. Cook the Broccoli
Add the broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until it starts to soften but retains its bright green color.
  5. Add Mushrooms
Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 4–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mushrooms are tender and the broccoli is cooked through.
  6. Season the Dish
Drizzle soy sauce over the vegetables and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  7. Finish Cooking
Allow the flavors to combine by cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  8. Serve and Garnish
Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately.

Enjoy this quick, healthy, and flavorful dish!
