Chinese pepper steak with onions!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb beef strips (sliced round steaks cut into strips)
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced into thick strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thick strips
  • 1/2 onion, sliced thickly
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. Place the beef, bell peppers, and onions into an electric pressure cooker.
  2. Add the garlic powder, ground ginger, black pepper, brown sugar, and soy sauce to the mixture.
  3. Pour the beef broth into the pressure cooker and stir to combine.
  4. Secure the lid tightly and set the pressure cooker to high for 15 minutes.
  5. Once cooking is complete, perform a quick release for firmer steak or a natural release for tender, fall-apart meat.
  6. Remove the lid and press the Cancel button, then switch to Sauté mode.
  7. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup cold water with the cornstarch until smooth. Add this mixture to the pepper steak in the cooker.
  8. Allow the sauce to boil for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.

Serve and enjoy!
