Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of $1 French bread (from Walmart or any grocery store)
- 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Topping Option 1: Pepperoni, sausage, bacon
- Topping Option 2: Chicken, spinach, bacon
- Any additional toppings (mushrooms, onions, olives, peppers, etc.)
Construction:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 475°F (245°C) for a crispy crust.
- Prepare the Bread:
- Cut the French bread in half lengthwise.
- Place the halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- Assemble the Pizzas:
- Spread an even layer of pizza sauce on each half.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously.
- Add toppings:
- One half with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon
- The other half with chicken, spinach, and bacon
- Add any extra toppings based on preference.
- Bake the Pizza:
- Place the baking sheet in the oven.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.
- Cool & Serve:
- Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.
Variations:
- BBQ Chicken Pizza: Use BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce, and add grilled chicken, red onions, and cheddar cheese.
- Supreme Style: Add bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olives along with pepperoni and sausage.
- Buffalo Chicken: Toss chicken in buffalo sauce, add mozzarella and blue cheese crumbles.
- White Pizza: Use garlic butter or Alfredo sauce instead of pizza sauce, topped with spinach, mushrooms, and ricotta.
- Meat Lovers: Add ham, ground beef, and extra bacon for an ultra-meaty version.
Tips:
- Crispier Bread Hack: Lightly toast the bread in the oven for 5 minutes before adding toppings to prevent sogginess.
- Use Pre-Cooked Meats: Since the pizza bakes quickly, make sure all meats (like sausage or bacon) are fully cooked before adding them.
- Cheese Variations: Mix mozzarella with provolone, parmesan, or cheddar for extra flavor.
- Dipping Sauces: Serve with ranch, marinara, or garlic butter for dipping.
- Make it Kid-Friendly: Let kids customize their own mini pizzas with their favorite toppings.
