Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

For the Cream Filling

  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping

For the Frosting

  • 1 tub whipped frosting or homemade whipped cream
  • White chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish ✨

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, flour, sugar, sour cream, water, eggs, vanilla, and oil. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cakes cool completely.
  4. Prepare the filling by whisking pudding mix with cold milk until thick. Fold in whipped topping. Chill for 10 minutes.
  5. Slice each cake layer in half horizontally if desired for extra layers. Spread the creamy filling between each layer.
  6. Frost the outside with whipped frosting or whipped cream. Decorate with white chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for the perfect soft, creamy texture. ❄️
