Slow Cooker Spareribs
Tender, juicy spareribs made right in the slow cooker with a rich, sticky sauce and almost no effort.
Ingredients
1 whole rack pork spareribs
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs if desired for extra tenderness.
Cut the rack into sections so it fits inside your slow cooker.
In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Place the ribs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the top, coating all sides.
Cover and cook:
Low: 7–8 hours
High: 4–5 hours
Carefully remove the ribs — they will be very tender.
Optional: Place ribs on a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
Spoon extra sauce from the slow cooker over the ribs before serving.
