Creamy Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 cup spinach (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Optional Additions
Mushrooms
Sun-dried tomatoes
Red pepper flakes
Fresh basil
Extra Parmesan for serving
Instructions
Season the Chicken
Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Make the Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Liquids
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the pan. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
Simmer
Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add Spinach (Optional)
Stir in spinach and cook until wilted.
Return Chicken to Pan
Add chicken back to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes.
Serve
Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
Tips for Success
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
Don’t burn the garlic; cook just until fragrant.
Chicken thighs stay especially juicy in this recipe.
If sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of broth.
