Savory Beef Breakfast Pastries

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 250g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 100g grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Prepare the filling: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, cooking until soft and golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Remove from heat and stir in the grated cheese until melted and combined.
- Assemble the pastries: Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into squares or rectangles (about 6-8 pieces per sheet).

- Egg wash: Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each pastry to give it a golden finish when baked.
