Ingredients
For the wontons:
- 1/2 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (grated)
- 20–25 wonton wrappers
For the soup:
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (sliced)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 cup bok choy or spinach
- 2 green onions (chopped)
Instructions
- Make filling:
Mix ground meat, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. - Fill wontons:
Place a small amount of filling in each wrapper. Fold and seal edges with water. - Prepare broth:
In a pot, bring chicken broth, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil to a boil. - Cook wontons:
Add wontons and cook for 4–5 minutes until they float and are fully cooked. - Add greens:
Add bok choy or spinach and cook for 1–2 minutes. - Serve:
Garnish with green onions and chili flakes if desired.
Notes
- Don’t overfill wontons to avoid breaking
