Savory Garlic-Soy Chicken and Crisp Broccoli Stir-Fry (Under 30 Minutes)
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cooked white rice, for serving
- Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, chicken broth, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside. - Cook the Chicken
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside. - Stir-Fry the Broccoli
Add remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Add 2 tablespoons water and cover for 1 minute to steam if needed. - Add Aromatics
Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. - Combine Everything
Return chicken to the skillet. Pour in sauce and toss everything together. Cook 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli. - Serve
Spoon over hot cooked rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
