Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, chicken broth, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry the Broccoli
Add remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Add 2 tablespoons water and cover for 1 minute to steam if needed.
  4. Add Aromatics
Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Combine Everything
Return chicken to the skillet. Pour in sauce and toss everything together. Cook 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli.
